The role of our Support Workers involves spending time with people that require support and helping them with little tasks that promote their independence and help to enrich their lives, such as: personal care, meal preparation, medication prompts, companionship and accessing the community (for example helping with shopping, attending local events, visiting a garden centre, accompanying them on a walk).
Experience is not essential as full, paid training will be given. Our in-house training programme covers a range of topics applicable for the role, in addition to job shadowing with one of our staff members and enrolment onto the Care Certificate scheme with on-going support and training.
Requirements:
You must have your own transport and if using a vehicle, the relevant driving license. You must enjoy working with people and have a cheerful, can-do attitude and a caring and compassionate nature.
