For about a year, Heydays have kindly provided a 'live-in' carer for mum when I am away. It is usually the same friendly, capable lady which is great for continuity. Kelly and Dawn have always been so helpful and accomodating, having real empathy for family/carers, always encouraging us to have regular breaks for the good of our own health! I feel I can do this, as we completely trust and have confidence in the carers Heydays employ. - Gill

My mother was in a care home and she was really unhappy, so we took the decision to bring her back to her own home with personalised support and care.My mum deserves the best, but we didn't realise it would be so difficult to find the type support and standard of care that we as a family expected. We employed 2 care agencies but both were unreliable and they just weren't in tune with what mum needed. We then found Heydays, who's promises of personalised support and care were a reality, not something they made up to go in their literature! Mum is now in her own home surrounded by her own things, the care and support that she is receiving is excellent, she is living the way she wants to and is back to being happy and content. - Sallly Percival Kendal

Heydays have looked after my mother, aged 83, for over a year. She looks on her carers as her friends, and, because they are so reliable, compassionate, and respectful, I know I do not need to worry. Heydays allocate her a small team (usually 2) which means she can build up a good relationship with each carer, and they get to know her and her specific needs, providing valuable continuity. They are willing to do anything that needs doing, and genuinely seem to care about Mum. Dawn and Kelly coordinate her care very efficiently, are always available to talk through any issues, and I have found them unfailingly willing to listen to and address the concerns of the family. Full marks! - Nicola (Cartmel)

Heydays were recommended to us whilst urgently searching for carers as both my mother and father were due to be released from hospital last year. we were very fortunate that they had just increased their capacity in the area so we were able to secure a twice daily visit home help just when we needed it. Sadly my mother did not return home and died shortly after- this left my father in need of care, Compassion and to have all the worries of daily tasks of living taken care of as he grieved and started to get used to being on his own. His need for companionship was filled by the carers visits which he always looked forward to. It was a great comfort to us that there were regular visitors to the house and that we knew he was being well looked after. As his needs grew Heydays readily stepped up their level of care until it become obvious that his needs would be more appropriately met in a residential home. I cant praise the Heydays team highly enough for their work in looking after him and his home, their work often going above and beyond expectations. I can thoroughly recommend them for their skills, their genuine care for their clients and as totally trustworthy when looking after vulnerable adults. Ralph carter -

I would like to thank you all for all the kindness, support and care you showed to Derek and myself during the time of his illness. We truly feel as though  you all became one of the family and I could not have done without you all. Cath Birrell  Barrow in Furness -

I just want to say a big heart felt thank you for looking after Vic for all those months. You managed to put a smile on his face with your banter and made his life that much easier to bear. you became friends instead of just carers and your visits will be missed. Once again thank you for the card and lovely flowers.  The Draper Family -
