Leading South Lakes and Furness home care provider, Heydays Care and Support Services officially opened their second office on Thursday 27th January on Main Street in Grange-over-Sands.
To celebrate the opening, Heydays held two open days at the newly refurbished premises. The Mayor of Grange was in attendance to cut the ribbon and the Heydays South Lakes team led by Co-Founder, Kelly Shaw welcomed clients and members of the public for a tour and a piece of cake.
Dawn Darby, Co-Founder and Registered Manger said, “Opening a new office in Grange is particularly special to us; it’s nice to return to the town where Heydays was first founded back in 2011”.
Kelly Shaw, Co-Founder and Manager added, “Since we opened, lots of clients and families of clients have popped in to see us; it’s a lovely welcoming space to greet people.
“We’re also re-launching our monthly activity club this month (February) which had to be paused due to the pandemic. The new office gives us a great facility from which to run these clubs! The monthly clubs are something we love doing as it’s a great way for people to socialise – our job isn’t just about providing care but enhancing people’s lives through social interaction and stimulation.”
Heydays took over the former H&H Land and Estates premises in summer 2021 completing an extensive renovation, including remodelling the interior to create open plan office space, a large meeting and activity room, a new kitchen and an accessible bathroom.
Heydays newly appointed Office Administrator, Deborah Bushell commented, “Before accepting my new job with Heydays, I worked for H&H Land and Estates and previously to that, Michael C. L Hodgson in the very same building. At first it felt strange to walk back into the same office where I had been based for 14 years, however the transformation is just unbelievable and I’m really enjoying working with the Heydays team in this lovely, bright and welcoming space”.
The Heydays Grange Office is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
