Care Workers - Kendal and surrounding areas

Morning Position 7.30am until 2pm

Evening position 4pm until 10pm

This can be a walking round so driver not essential

This role is a mixture of mornings and evenings, maximum 2 evening shifts per week if preferred or subject to availability just mornings or evenings if this is your preference, this role includes alternate weekends ,this may only be one shift or 2 depending on weekly hours you work so not even a full weekend or if you enjoy working weekends you can do a full shift both days.

Role & Responsibilities

Do you enjoy spending time with people and helping them with little tasks promoting their independence such as:

Personal care

Meal preparation

Medication prompt

companionship

Accessing the community this may include supporting a client with shopping or attending local events, visiting a Garden Centre, accompanying them to local coffee shops, walking etc

Skills

Experience is not essential as fully paid training is given, you will receive in-house training on various topics that are applicable for your role, shadowing on the specific rounds that you have been recruited for and enrolment onto the Care Certificate with on-going support and training which is fully-funded and paid in addition to your care hours.

Good rate of pay starting at £15.70

Additional mileage allowance on top of hourly rate paid per mile 30p per mile

Exceptional Overtime rate

Block shifts-no big hourly gaps which means you are paid the whole time you are out

We do not stipulate a minimum hours position, we have carers that only want to work 6 hrs a week up to full time care positions but what we do offer is contracted hours so no zero hour contracts! and no pressure on committing to a minimum hours you work per week, we understand we all have busy lives.

We also have a outstanding reputation and have been established for 14 yrs as well as contracts with local authorities and NHS therefore we do not have big gaps in our rotas! You are also paid in full when clients cancel or are away in hospital and enhanced rates on bank holidays.
